Built in the historic Amana style in the 1980s, Price Creek Event Center brings together the best of both worlds. Originally constructed as the Barn Restaurant and beautifully remodeled into a wedding and event venue in 2019, this Iowa City wedding venue offers everything couples need for their perfect day: ample reception space, a separate ceremony area, luxurious changing rooms for the entire wedding party, and exceptional in-house catering.
Don and LaShelle Morrison aren't just venue owners—they're your partners in creating unforgettable celebrations. With a passion for working with brides, grooms, and families that began with their DJ and event company, Star Entertainment, in 2012, they dreamed for years of owning their own event venue. In April 2024, that dream became reality when they became the proud owners of this stunning Cedar Rapids wedding venue.
Don Morrison brings over 40 years of DJ experience and 30+ years of bartending expertise. As building manager, he ensures Price Creek runs flawlessly, and often delights guests by bartending and DJing events himself!
LaShelle Morrison offers 30+ years of event planning and coordination experience, plus 15+ years as a DJ/KJ. She focuses on creating exceptional client experiences and can help plan and coordinate any event at Price Creek.
Devon Morrison, Don and LaShelle's son, serves as our in-house chef, crafting the delicious menus that make Price Creek's catering truly special. (Seriously, have you tried Devon's Deluxe Mashed Potatoes?)
